Abstract / Summary
This case series examines the clinical and radiographic outcomes of central giant cell granulomas (CGCG) of the mandible treated with enucleation, liquid-nitrogen cryotherapy, and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) augmented bone grafting. Five patients were treated with this surgical technique. All patients demonstrated complete radiographic ossification within 6–12 months, without recurrence or major complication. Two patients successfully received osseointegrated implants in the reconstructed sites, demonstrating functional bone regeneration. This series represents a reliable middle ground between conservative curettage and segmental resection.
