Abstract / Summary
Intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) near functional brain areas pose significant neurosurgical challenges due to the high risks of neurological impairment. We report the case of a 23-year-old male with a deep right parietal AVM adjacent to the sensory area, which was successfully treated using trans-sulcal resection in a hybrid operating room. The procedure was enhanced by the integration of multimodal assistive technologies, including neuronavigation, mixed reality, ultrafast power Doppler imaging, intraoperative digital subtraction angiography, and neurophysiological monitoring. This case underscores the value of integrating multimodal technologies to achieve precision microsurgery and favorable outcomes in complex AVM cases.
