Peripartum Anesthetic Management of a Patient With Sickle Cell Disease and Preeclampsia
By Madeline Dow, Aariya Srinivasan and Sabry Ayad.
Abstract
ABSTRACT Peripartum care for patients with sickle cell disease and preeclampsia requires coordinated multidisciplinary management. Key strategies include multimodal analgesia, individualized transfusion protocols, and vigilant maternal‐fetal monitoring. Early planning and collaboration among obstetrics, hematology, anesthesiology, and palliative care are crucial for optimizing outcomes and ensuring patient safety.
