Mesalazine‐Induced Myocarditis: A Challenging Diagnostic Journey
By Mohamed Zakaria Bouayed, Iliass Benaini, Hajar Koulali and 5 others.
Abstract
ABSTRACT Mesalazine‐induced myocarditis, though rare, should be suspected in patients presenting with acute chest pain and elevated cardiac biomarkers shortly after treatment initiation. Cardiac MRI plays a pivotal role in diagnosis. Prompt drug discontinuation often leads to rapid clinical recovery, highlighting the importance of early recognition to prevent severe complications.
