Résumé
Aim
The present survey was conducted to assess any potential link between two SNPs of the HLA-DPB1 gene (rs9277534 and rs3117229) and HBV chronic disease.
Background
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) chronically infects more than 350 million humans worldwide. The human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class, I and II complexes, play crucial roles in immune system responses to external antigens in the peripheral lymphoid organs. The effects of genetic variations, including single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP), on the HLA gene’s transcription levels, function, and activity were recently evaluated.
