Résumé
Pyelonephritis is a bacterial infection of the kidneys that can affect renal function and cause long-term complications in children. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are essential to prevent renal scarring and preserve kidney function. The risk of permanent damage is higher in children with recurrent infections, urinary tract abnormalities, vesicoureteral reflux, or delayed treatment.
