Résumé
Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in men is related to genital warts and anal cancer. The study therefore aimed to analyse the evidence on the effect of HPV vaccination on genital warts and anal infection and lesions in men. A literature review was conducted in PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and Web of Science from 2020 to 2025, with a sample of 15 studies. Almost one in three men carries genital HPV, the quadrivalent vaccine provides long-lasting protection against genital warts, and vaccination is associated with lower anal infection by vaccine types, with a greater effect before age 18. It was concluded that the vaccine is preventive and that its impact depends on coverage.
