Résumé
Background/Objectives: The upfront costs of angle-based minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) maybe offset by reduced medication use and subsequent interventions. This systematic review synthesizes available cost-effectiveness analyses of angle-based MIGS in adults with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG).
Methods
A systematic review of PubMed, Embase, and Scopus databases from inception to 18 March 2026 for full-text, English-language economic evaluations reporting incremental cost-effectiveness/utility ratios (ICER/ICUR) or quality-adjusted life years (QALYs). Methodological quality was assessed using the Drummond checklist and, reporting completeness was assessed using CHEERS 2022. Findings were synthesized descriptively by intervention and comparator group, distinguishing standalone procedures from those combined with cataract surgery. No certainty assessment was undertaken.
