Résumé
This study aims to analyze the levels of depression, stress, and anxiety among 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sukamulia after participating in physical fitness exercises. A descriptive quantitative method was employed. The sample consisted of 30 students from class VII B, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the DASS-42 questionnaire, administered before and after the physical fitness exercise sessions. The data were analyzed descriptively using frequencies and percentages to determine the distribution of students' depression, stress, and anxiety levels across normal, mild, moderate, and severe categories. The results indicate that prior to the physical fitness exercises, the majority of students fell into the moderate category for depression, while the majority fell into the severe category for stress and anxiety. After participating in the physical fitness exercises, the majority of students fell into the mild category for all three aspects—depression, stress, and anxiety. The percentage of students in the severe category decreased from 30.00% to 6.67% for depression, from 53.33% to 10.00% for stress, and from 63.33% to 13.33% for anxiety. Based on this descriptive analysis, it can be concluded that participation in physical fitness exercises led to a shift in the distribution of depression, stress, and anxiety levels, with the mild category becoming the most dominant. These findings provide an overview based on a descriptive comparison of pre- and post-activity data and are not intended to claim the existence of a causal effect or statistical significance, as the study did not employ hypothesis testing.
