Abstract
Background
Frailty predicts poor outcomes in older adults with cardiovascular disease (CVD) and is closely related to neuromuscular dysfunction. Lower limb surface electromyography (sEMG) during walking may capture frailty-related motor alterations, but its characteristics and discriminative value in older adults with CVD remain unclear. This study aimed to compare lower limb sEMG features between frail and nonfrail older adults with CVD and evaluate their ability to identify frailty.
