Abstract
Desmoid tumors constitute a clinical entity of myofibroblastic neoplasms with a potential to arise in any tissue. Although nonmalignant, they possess the ability to locally invade neighboring structures and cause significant morbidity. We present a case of pancreatic-derived desmoid-type fibromatosis in a woman with a history of bariatric sleeve gastrectomy, with a review of the literature. This case highlights the importance of strict clinical surveillance secondary to its rapid growth potential that can ultimately reach inoperable dimensions and complicate clinical outcomes.
