# Background
Despite well-established clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and return to sport (RTS) criteria following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), adherence in clinical physiotherapy practice remains inconsistent. Suboptimal adherence may contribute to impaired rehabilitation outcomes and increased long-term knee morbidity.
